Tundra tow vehicle report
Howdy, I've been offline for a long while, but thought I'd share my experience with my new tow vehicle. Have had a 2012 Mercedes GL 350, since new, which was doing an admirable job towing our 1978 Avion 26-H. My plan was to get a Tundra to replace the aging Mercedes. I picked up a 2021 Tundra SR5 wi...

Re: MORryde axle/suspension
Contact MorRyde. They will tell you. I seem to remember reading somewhere, sometime, that you CAN get replacement parts. I visited their website. They do have independent suspension, with drum or disk brakes, but its a bit pricey. Tandem 7000# axles with drum brakes is around $4k (installation incl...

Re: MORryde axle/suspension
What parts have you concerned should anything go wrong? I've seen, a couple of instances, that the wheel has snapped off. I do not expect a failure in the near future and am mostly planning ahead! Also, have been thinking about replacing the springs and shocks and wonder whether its worth it or sho...

MORryde axle/suspension
Howdy, I know that MorRyde is still in business. Do they still manufacture the axle/suspension system that was installed on 1977 and prior Avions? I'm just planning ahead, as I have Adjust-a-Ride suspension on my Avion, and those are not manufactured anymore. Thinking ahead about a replacement, if s...

Thank you!BimmerRacer wrote: ↑Tue Mar 08, 2022 10:12 am Yes, the camera needs both positive and ground.
The positive feeds from the light directly below it. The ground is riveted onto the trailer body under the camera gasket

Re: Backup camera and marker lights
Does the camera need 12V power? If so how did you power it? Did you use the wires to one of the marker lights? (I had read that some folks had done that). Thanks!

Re: Battery relocation
I would not rely on others doing it, and would want some documentation from the manufacturer that it's safe to use inside an RV. Having the batteries outside just seems safer. Also, what benefits do you get by having them inside? There are already wires that go to the front of the trailer to the bat...

Looks great! Congratulations on completing this. Many people give up half way through. It's quite an accomplishment.
