New Flooring

Post by silverloaf »

The new flooring material has been installed. We went the linoleum route because there were too many concerns about vinyl plank in ambient temperature swings.

We had it professionally installed. He skim-coated the entire floor with a thin layer of leveling compound to account for any imperfections in the base floor. His installation work was so precise little or any edge caulk is required.

We chose a linoleum that mimics vinyl plank in its look and texture. We opted to run the pattern across the trailer; running the pattern lengthwise would have doubled the amount of material with a 50% scrap rate. There is only one seam.

Below are some before and after pics.

What type of leveling compound did you use? did you prime the floor beforehand? I am currently redoing my floors, so. much. fun.

Very nice, we are currently redoing our floor and debating on what refrigerator to use. The old one or put in a new one. What refrigerator did you replace the old one with?
