LED bulbs arrived today!!

I ordered a set of 20 LED bulbs to replace the ones in the Avion and they arrived today! I think it is a great deal for $30!

Had exactly enough to finish replacing the ones that were still incandescent, which was 16 inside, 4 outside (hitch light, utility light, and both reverse lights).

Very pleased with them. The only thing I would like to see is better packaging.... no packing material at all.... even two little sheets of bubble wrap would be good. That cardboard box came inside a padded mailing envelope.

(OBTW.....The Avion was noticeably cooler than it used to be when it has been sitting out in the sun in the back yard!.... a.k.a. reRubber roof coating)

Paul, I see that you used these for reverse lights. What about tail lights? Can these LED lights be used for taillights as well or a different LED light is needed? Thanks!

According to my notes, the incandescent brake/turn bulb is #1156. The description on the Amazon ad says they are replacements for 1156, 1141, and 1003. So, without actually trying it, I guess it should work. The replacement tail lights I have on our Avion are the Bargman ones that came originally with LED brake/turn and incandescent reverse. A few years ago when I replaced the tail lights, I couldn't justify the cost of Bargman's tail lights that had LED brake AND reverse lights. Now, though, with the cost of the individual bulbs coming down, it was easy to do.

I am curious what kind of fixtures you have in your Avion that would not allow those longer bulbs? I like knowing specifics about different years and models. Never know when those little tid bits of information might come in handy.

Now that I have all of these fixtures in ours switched over to LED bulbs, the only ones that still need to be converted are the three ThinLine fluorescent fixtures. Has anyone done that? If so, I would like your recommendations of where to acquire the kits, and which ones work well.

I bought LED light bulbs, per suggestions in this thread and replaced incandescent lights (interior/exterior). I also replaced some dome lights with LED. See photo attached. I bought singles for bathroom and doubles for else where.

There were 3 fixtures that needed shorter bulbs. I will get some actual photos when I get back up to the trailer next weekend But a quick internet search found some similar lights.
