What do you think of this camper for that price?

If I didn't have my 30R, I'd be on my way there right now. After inspecting and assuming all looks good, I'd offer 8K and be willing to pay full price if I had to.

He came down to 9500 and I am going back there on Saturday to really put it through the motions as far as lighting the furnace water heater stove and putting the awning out etc.

From the pictures, that looks like a nice, well-kept Avion, and I agree with KYAvion on the price.... cash in hand helps!

Good luck this weekend.... I anticipate good results.

Look at the age of the furnace. If it's original, then I'd replace it. Water pump, batteries, AC, fridge, water heater, etc are also things that may need replaced, and might help you get the price down a little more.

Also, when you talk to your insurance company to insure it, don't forget that what's it's worth and what you paid are not the same thing. That is, what it's worth is higher. IMO...

You may need to find a different insurance company, or speak directly with your agent if they weren't the one you already talked to. There is an "Agreed" value that can be established, but that will ordinarily require an appraisal. I'm with Kentucky Farm Bureau, and they are extremely reasonable to work with. If a local farm bureau is available to you, maybe they'd be cooperative as well.

If the only feedback your agent gave you was that value, then I'd be inclined to shop around for a new agent and company.
