Window rubber seals, gaskets, covers, etc

Post by KYAvion »

Becky gave me permission to copy this from FB. I thought it'd be useful to have as a reference.

“This is a copy of my spreadsheet for my previous 1984 30P. I omitted the fixed glass rubber part on my 1988 32S & just filled the gaps with black silicone per Chuck Cayo. The screw cover is available on eBay. It works, but isn’t rubber like the screw cover from Interstate. Missing from the list is part 009-042, which goes above each window. Prices are from several years ago :-)http://www.interstatervmetalandsupply.c ... ndows2.htm

Very good information, and exactly what needs to be stored here on this site!

Thank you, and Becky!

Agreed. Stuff like this isn't very accessible in the future on FB.

update to this thread
I ordered up the list in the above picture last week. Total cost was $432.50
For those looking for Rub Rail replacement, Cayo has stock . For my 34V the cost was $128 plus tax as I recall.

I’m assuming these sizes would fit my 1983 34’?

@Salty Did you omit the fixed glass rubber part and fill with black silicone like she did?

How about 009-042. She says it is missing from the list, and that it goes above each window. It’s on the list though as the screwcover. Is there a similar part number that goes above each window?

@Becky B. can you clarify this?

I omitted nothing. I'm finding that I may need more of some things than the list specified, but, as I am doing this a little at a time, I won't know until I finish.
