1990 Avion 38-foot (Whale) 5th-Wheel Trailer - $7995 (Bowling Green)

"We are selling our beautiful and very clean 1990 Avion [whale]. It is one of only 75 that were ever made. It's 38-feet long with a walk-around queen bed, a walk-through bath with full tub and shower. It has a newer high-rise toilet, cedar-lined his-and-hers-closets, and a walk through bath. This unit is now parked at Avion Palms in Bowling Green ,FL. This trailer has a living room slide out, oak table and chairs, oak cabinetry, an all-electric refrigerator and space for a washer-dryer combination, if desired.

This is a nice, clean, well-working unit for its vintage.

We will sell this unit with the lot and free-standing awning for $32,500, or alone for $7,995.

To inquire, call Joyce at 320-three six three-4350. No texts or e-mails, please. And, no scammers. Please call to inquire. And, if you'd like, I can send more pictures.

Thanks!

Joyce "

This one could be an exception to the rule.

I looked at a Whale parked behind Chuck Cayo's repair shop. Chuck says Fleetwood used a lot of OSB in this model and rot-out was very common. Chuck pinned the turd on Fleetwood for pushing it into production with little or no testing.

Imagine trying to find parts for that rascal.

Yes, I remember talking to Chuck about different years of Avions. He didn't like the construction of the Whale or the basement model travel trailers. But I was pleasantly surprised when he told me he thought our 1987 34W was his favorite!

Sounds like you got a "whale" of a deal! :D

I'm not sure why Fleetwood released the Whale and basement models. They were rather incongruent with the design theme that made Avion famous. According to Chuck, Avion's fate was sealed then they became more expensive to build than Airstreams.
