I'd approach it from below as well, unless you just happen to be planning to open the floor from above.

While it's opened up from below, you might also consider adding a couple tank heaters if you plan to do any cold weather camping. I posted about mine in the winter camping forum.

Thanks for the suggestion about heaters. The prior owner was from Alaska and successfully camped in this coach at 20 below. I know that is tank top and shorts weather for those in Montana, Michigan, Mane and North Dakota but being that I was born and raised in SoCal I will avoid such weather. The prior owner has at least 3 @ 12 volt heater units in various locations in the basement so I will not be installing any additional heaters.
