That's how mine was set up as well

Looks like that will be my starting point as well since pretty much everything will be new. Except the axle shaft. But they look to be in decent shape just surface rust. After they’re sandblasted and recoated they will look new anyway. I’ve found that my trailer is almost like my boat. There’s nothing on it that a suitable amount of money won’t fix. ;).

I am going to be checking the wheel bearings on our Avion. I checked on the availability of the grease seals (National 413470). I noticed that O’Reilly wanted $20 each, Advance Auto $9.99!

I got 6 of them just in case.

Thought I would let you know of the HUGE price difference.

Spent the day inspecting and repacking the bearings, and installed the new grease seals that I had ordered. Had one outer bearing on the curb side that had a strange color in the grease.... not sure why.... I had a new one and decided to just replace it.

We are going to go to Red Rock Canyon in Hinton, OK mid-October, then to Branson, MO at the end of the month, so this project was good to get done...... after two 1200-mile round trips to Baton Rouge this summer.

I’m still trying to get our new house done. Rather envious of your journey.
