Trailer connection

After looking through the book Avion uses a 9 pin connector and my truck has a 7 pin connector. But, the previous owner has a 7 connector cable coming out to the hitch. Is there a way to make a 7 pin work on an Avion? If not, then I need to get another cable/trailer connector/truck connector just for the Avion. I don't have an issue with that in general but the 7 pin is already there :) . Anyone running their Avion with a 7 pin?

Our 1987 34W originally came with a 9-pin connector, but had a 7-pin connector when we got it.
On the 9-pin, pin 8 is not used, and pin 9 is for 12V for powering the original 3-way refrigerator while going down the road.

You can easily convert to 7-pin.

Here is a good link that shows pin and colors for 7 and 9-pin connectors. You can swap them over by following the charts.
