1971 Avion Camper Serial Number questions

Post by pmatus »

Hello! Can anyone help decipher what the serial number on a 1971 Avion LaGrande means? The serial number is: GA-28126 T-28. I'm thinking that the GA-28126 means that it's 28ft and number 126 manufactured. Is that correct? I'm a little confused by what the T-28 stands for as this is a La Grande and not Travelcader; so that's why I'm asking. Can anyone decipher it? Thanks for the help!

It IS a Travelcader, with LaGrande trim options.... pretty much the top of the line available at the time. I would refer to the 1971 Avion brochure in the documentation section..

Having a Travelcader with LaGrande trim options from 1971 is a vintage gem! Checking the Avion brochure for documentation adds a touch of nostalgia – happy travels, and cherish the classic style 🙂!
