New flooring in '66 Sportsman

After painstakingly removing the 12" tile (which was lifting in places) and all the glue we've installed new peel and stick indoor/outdoor carpet tile. The tile was purchased at Home Depot and was quite reasonable. We had a flooring guy do the install as I have no experience installing flooring. Needless to say we are very pleased with the result. I will likely do a little varnish touch-up where the carpet meets the base of the sofa/bed bench. Something I should have done before installing the tile.

Thanks Paul. IMHO I would agree. The tiles were relatively inexpensive too, certainly a fraction of cost for either vinyl or marmoleum. I'm now applying peel and stick vinyl tile (found in the trailer left by the PO) to the toilet area. Should be a good match with the new floor and upholstery.

That turned out really nice. Have you had any issues with separation at the joints as the temps have changed?

No, none yet. I used a J roller as you would installing vinyl flooring to ensure that the seams are touching and flat. We used it last week for the first time and all is well. Our temperatures have varied from about 12 C to about 30 C and no problems. The latter is a rare event thankfully.
