Hole in the body

Post by Klmracing »

Hello everyone. I just bought a 1983 34P. Amazing condition both inside and out. But 1 flaw on the outside that I need to fix asap is a hole above an outside hatch. How would you all go about patching this hole?

Just a flesh wound, it’ll still fly.

I’d cut a nice aluminum patch then rivet it on with some clear silicone. Million ways to do it though. If you could find same color you’d hardly notice it. You could probably just silicone it on and it would stick without the rivets.

Thanks. That kinda what I was thinking myself. Rivet it on with some seam sealer or silicone or something of that nature.

Silicone alone would probably hold it on. You’d have to do a bit of prying to get it off.
