New member - Vintage Avion 1960

Post by avion_1960 »

New Member...

just acquired a vintage 1960 Avion Holiday H24!
Un-touched original interiors that hasn't gone through any DIY fixer-upper work at all.

Exterior is pretty darn good... dull, but that, in time will be all polished up.
Initial orders have been placed for tires, lights, etc.
For safety, will do a complete brake replacement, new wires and controller...

any advice, resources for the brakes, etc. would be appreciated!

Welcome to the forum. We haven't seen as much forum report-out activity since Covid hit. Perhaps its just a phase that we are going through or maybe trailer re-hab enthusiasts have waned.

Dexter Axle was (I believe) the primary supplier of axle and suspension parts for Avion at the production level. I would start there. I've been known to measure or search for part numbers. I would then call Dexter tech support with that information and see where it leads.

Don't be surprised if you find yourself on an obstacle course for data and parts. Once you do it, you know qualify as a rising-star expert for others.

Good luck
