New Member/Old Owner gutting my ‘68 Avion

I’ve owned my ‘68 Argonaut since 2009 and did an initial cosmetic reno at the time. Since then, it’s been all over the country, was reborn as a mobile shop, and most recently served as home to some black rat snakes.

It is currently a complete disaster and we are gutting it. It’s been painted since there was no salvaging the exterior and now we’re on to the frame and suspension, eek.

Hoping you all will be good resources, since this looks to be a major challenge!

Yours appears to be an interesting project. You will quickly understand that the more you learn, the less you know. Good luck on raising another Avion from the dead.

Thanks all! I appreciate the words of encouragement and dose of realism. I’ve got a welder lined up this winter, so hopefully it’ll be nearly road worthy in 2022.

I would take Any pictures that you have of the interior walls/floor/framing/plumbing/etc.! There is not a lot of pictures of where lines/pipes/wires run. Thanks!!
