1967 Avionics T-27

Post by jeff.byrd »

I’m looking at buying a 1967 Avion T-27. I need new tires to tow it home. Is there a modern tire I can buy or what are my alternatives? Thanks.

Wow! It sure has been quiet here!

I would need to check some old brochures to see if they specify the original tire size. Or, do you know what size they are? From there, I would personally recommend an actual trailer tire.... Maybe a Goodyear Endurance, or what I have on the 6 wheels under our 34W... They are called Hi-Run..... They were recommended to me by an auto shop owner friend that hauls his race car in a 3-axle enclosed trailer. He uses that brand on his trailer and had good luck with them, as have I.
