Nice work. How did you support the shell when replacing the floor underneath?

Used wood blocks and I need to jack it up slightly so did some tinkering, if you take a wood 2x4 about 18inches long and turn it horizontal remove the rear hatch and place along the top it makes a great jack point with a vertical 2x4...

Wow! Looks like you have a lot of fun choices ahead of you. I too have a 1986 34V SE. I am not as handy as you and will have the pros at Motivated RV here in Austin helping my wife and I with the remodel/refurbishing. Hopefully we won't have floor damage, but I'm preparing myself for the worst.

I see you already have two AC units in your rig. That should prove helpful. I need to do the same with mine. Do thy need replacement? What units are you considering? What about all the other appliances? Oven/stove, refrigerator, microwave, furnace, water heater, potential TV's, sound system, etc. etc. Have you made any choices? Care to share them? I've got analysis paralysis and am completely out of my area of expertise.

The word "overwhelming" comes to mind.

Hey there,

Oh I get it... I was putting a lot of pressure on myself to get it done by X. I have since decided it will be done when its done, and that feels a lot better in general. For A/C's I am going to take both out and seal the holes, instead I am going to put a mini split system in. For cooktop, water heater and furnace... I am thinking diesel... for now still working on the floor... about 1/3 of the way done...

Goodluck, you basically have a blank canvas to do what you like.

Great idea! My wife and I hate how loud RV air conditioners are.

Here is a great video of a guy installing a mini split in a class C and he maxed out his solar panels and lithium batteries.
