Bunks and other stuff...

On Monday, we will head up to Colorado for an extended camping trip in the Avion. We needed a better sleeping situation for the the 4 of us which up until now has been:
A bed extension for the rear double bed that filled in the aisle and made a queen effectively (wife, 4 yo daughter and I) and a make shift cot on top of the bureau (8 yo son).
While this worked, we lost access to the large closet and all the drawers and cubbies in the lower part of the bedroom as well as the aisle.
After a lot of staring at the bureau and working up the courage to cut into my pristine trailer, I came up with the plan for the bunks.
Above is:
After bureau top removal, test fit of bunk, painting the parts.
Second coat goes on today and wife made the box cushions yesterday. Kids are fighting over who gets where but I can’t figure out which space they fighting for...
More to come...
