Howdy from west Texas - ‘69 I-31

Post by Todd »

Howdy!

I bought a 1969 Avion I-31 “Imperial” back in 2013 and parked it at my farm for the occasional stay. Turns out I didn’t use it all that much. Mother Nature took its toll on her. My wife and I are considering a renovation project and I’m quite certain it’ll be extensive.

Looking forward to the knowledge I can gain here as we work through the restoration. We have three young ‘uns and are considering modifications to the original floor plan to accommodate additional beds and bunks. Also probably going to go back with modern fixtures, appliances, lighting, and upholstery. Plus, the bathroom wall skin is pretty well cracked beyond repair.

Not gonna lie, the hail damage scares me a little. Hope it’ll repair a little easier once I get access from inside.

We built our home, so we’re cautiously optimistic that we can work through this project as well.

Welcome to the forum, Todd! Please let us follow along with your project. Little by little it will get there, then the memory-building can begin!
