Propride 3p on a 30P???
Propride 3p on a 30P???
Has anyone installed a Propride 3p hitch on a 1989 Avion 30p or similar trailer?
How difficult was the install? To me it looks like both the propane tank Mount, which of course are welded on, are in the way and that the propane tank cover we can't move forward any more would have to move forward!

Re: Propride 3p on a 30P???
I have a Propride on my 30R, and this is the second one I have installed. I temporarily removed the propane tray for installation of the frame bracket u-bolts, but you could drill holes or cut slots in the tray if you don’t want to remove it. The 3P is a great hitch—I wouldn’t let the tray deter you.

Good idea, cutting the slot.

You’ll be glad of every small pain taken.
The Hensley-patent hitch is VERY obvious as I’m overtaking then passing a rig. The TT is motionless while underway.
All the other hitch designs (obsolete) allow the trailer to continually oscillate. Always moving thru three axis.
I don’t see them often. But it’s unmistakable (given the hitch rigging is otherwise correct; that’s where folks get lazy).
