Tail Light Housings

Post by leighlandon »

Does anyone have a source for tail light housing for 1986 avion? I have one that holds the light but is cracked and rough looking.

I attached Pictures of both the cracked left rear and right Rear housings.

Looking for replacement or ideas... might be able to 3D print a set out of plastic... or have a set fabricated out of aluminum or stainless...

Thanks,

Landon

Landon is needing the black plastic stand-offs for those taillight assemblies.

I gave no idea where you might find those, other than asking Chuck Cayo if he has any.

Somewhere in this forum is a thread that shows how someone made some out of metal.

Here is the thread I was thinking of:

No pictures currently, but I know they were there originally. I think they were lost during a move of this forum.

Jim Golden, are you here?

Thanks Guys,

Yes Called Cayo and he said preserve them the best you can. Just parted out Avions is the only source. May look into the fabrication option or just live with it as it’s cosmetic only.

I have attached Jim’s Photos, I had emailed him directly. He did a good job with them.

Thanks,

Landon

Thanks, I may order some and see how it works. Went to a fabricator today and they really didn’t want anything to do with it. Sent a note to Jim to see if he still had the CNC file.

Hoping to find something.
