spiffing up the outside
spiffing up the outside
We've ordered the belt line insert and are working on cleaning up the aluminum skin. I'm not sure if it's oxidation or just hard water stains, but there are a few places on the trailer that don't meet my picky husband's standards. my solution is to just stand away a few feet, but oh well...
when we first got the trailer, he washed the front and down at the bottom edge applied several products to see what worked and looked best. each was a separate patch about a foot square. he made a notation in his notebook about which product was on which square. One of the things he tried was a stainless steel appliance polish from the kitchen. Weimanns was the brand. yesterday he decided that was the best thing to use, so he started doing more of the trailer.

How long has the Weimanns lasted before needing to reapply?

not sure. the patch we did on the front a month ago still looks good. but it's only a square foot! I hope it lasts, or at least the hard water spots and streaks stay gone. I'll post if we become disappointed with the way it holds up.

Another product that Razorback turned me onto is Penetrol.
