Avion 34 brakes

Post by Avion4us2 »

I had found a few broken wires coming out the back of my brake hubs. This was on 3 out of the 6 hubs. I repaired them and mounted the new tires. My Son in law told me the electric brakes are wired in series like the old Christmas tree lights. If one is bad, they are all bad. I cannot see this as correct and do not see any logical reason for any factory to wire a trailer this way.
Can someone clear this up for me? I am moving it 125 miles tomorrow to my farm and would sleep a who;le lot better believing it is wired in parallel. Thanx in advance.

They are parallel.
Page 82 of this owners manual shows it well.

There are soft copies in the Documentation section that can be taken and printed........ hardcopies can be found online.

What year is your Avion?

Thanx Paul...it is a 1979 model with the twin beds beside the head. We just got it home...no drama. I have a new pasture on the farm here to complete this week and will start assessing the work ahead of us. I will rip the vinyl up to inspect the floor condition, then take out all the warped table tops and such. The plan at the moment is to make it into a B&B on our property.
There will be pictures to come.
