Spent some time today working on a new background for a relocated Command center. This would be the template that would get transferred to a piece of acrylic that would have switch holes cut out of it etc ...
Dimensions are 12.75 x 8.5

So, I sent the DXF file for the new command center fascia to a fabricator to get cut. Graphics company locally will produce the decal for the backside.

This is great! Will you do the cutouts in the acrylic?

Pretty cool, Salty.

Are going to re-use the OEM circuit board?

What are your plans for the 2 large rectangular holes?

Sorry for the late reply, I've been on the road. The two large cutouts are for current meters. Yes, I'm going to re-use the original circuit board. Replacement incandescent lights came in today. I'm not sure if I'll use the incandescents' or change them for LED indicators. I'm looking at the circuit design to see if LEDs will be drop in replacements for the 1/4 - F indicators. The empty and pump indicators are drop in replaceable with 12v LEDs.
I'm going to lose the LP tank indicators. I'm not motivated to run the wiring back to the existing wire interface, I don't have tanks with indicators anymore and while I'll spend $270 for a Worthington Aluminum tank, I won't spend the $340.
I returned home too late to get the graphic from the sign company, so I have to wait until Monday :(

This looks very professional. Nice work.

My command center is rectangular and located above the fridge. I've pretty much canned the layout of the OEM command center. Frankly, I'm not inclined to resurrect the function of the original stuff when newer technology is a lot more space-efficient and reliable.

Here's the tentative layout:
  • A Garnet SeeLevel Monitoring System Module that reads the 3 water tank levels. There are separate switches for the HW tank and Water Pump included in the module
  • A Kill switch (with indicator light) to cut the power from the battery
  • An Ammeter gauge.
  • Maybe a volt meter but not sure
  • I suppose I could include some indoor/outdoor temp and humidity gauge(s)
  • Not sure about a clock
I've yet to get the command panel designed. I'm open to input from others on this.
