Fuse Block Upgrade

To clean it up I would probably use a bar with studs similar to the one pictured below, and then have a single wire from the bar feeding the 12v on the fuse block.

As you probably know, use appropriately sized ring terminals and heavy stranded COPPER wire (6awg) and a good set of crimpers. Bear in mind, I’m not an electrician, so those with more expertise may have a better idea.

Thanks for all the info. Everything works fine. I just was thinking about upgrading to blade type fuses. I was thinking that the blade type fuses would be more readily available when traveling. I was also planning on upgrading the converter also. Probably need to investigate those also before I pull the trigger on the fuse block upgrade. Had not thought about the bar. I hate stacking a bunch of wires on 1 post. Thanks again.

Unless something is wrong, those glass fuses shouldn’t be blowing. Also, unless you’re just wanting to upgrade, it’d probably be easiest to purchase several backup glass fuses to keep on hand in case you need them. Then when you’re ready, do the upgrade. I did this with my trailer, but went with automotive breakers.

No fuses blowing. just repairing floor up front and while I had the blocks removed, I was thinking of upgrading. Just did not know how easy it was to get glass fuses on the road. you are probably right, just keep several on hand. Thanks!
