Clearance/marker lights

Post by MarkB »

I bought an '89 28er and doing some update work. Course the clearance and marker light lenses were shot after 30+ yrs. I found the Hopkins brand 3/4" button marker clearance lights in LED work well. The top clearance light holes need a little enlarging and for the side lights I used 2" x 4" x 1/8" aluminum pieces for the cover and inserted the 3/4" markers in those. Works well and won't ever see any lenses getting knocked off again:).

I also used the clear LED button light for the light on the jack pedestal behind the front hitch. Works great for a light. On the front of the body behind the battery box I used an extra red one I had and that worked good also though I might change it out for a clear one for s little more light. Both make great LED upgrade using minimal space and electric.
