AC hole size

Post by Kep »

I'm looking to replace the AC unit and am concerned with the opening size and the AC attachment size. Will this fit?

I would get up on the roof, remove the cover and see if you can get any pics and dimensions. Data rules in projects like this.

If I remember correctly, the A/C opening is a normal 14" square opening.

If you search for information on your internet machine, I would think you could find an installation manual that gives the details..... As proof.

Those mounting holes, being 13-1/2" apart lead me to believe in the 14" opening. Long, skinny bolts use those corners to sandwich the roof opening between the outer and inner A/C pieces. You will need a foam A/C roof seal on the bottom side of the part that is on the roof.

Clear as mud???? It'll be obvious when you do it.

Looks like it will fit just fine
thanks all seems 14" opening is a standard for roof AC. Was just a little concerned with what we had to do when installing roof vent fans.
