Ordered six 150 watt solar panels and a combiner. Ordered a Torklift Aluminum battery box. Holds three 200Ah relion or five Battleborn 100 Ah GC2 batteries.

For us solar illiterates, where does that box go in the system? Is that the same as a “charge controller”?

This is the combiner, meaning, it receives multiple solar panel power inputs and outputs a single pair of power cables that has the cumulative current of all panels.
Within it you will find a fuse for each panel, a lightning arrester and a GFI

It’s a little grainy, but the meter says 20+ volts?

In full texas sun, yes, it reads 20 VDC. a little haze and it drops to 18.1

Did you ever install the solar panels? Would love to see pics. I plan to put solar on my 34w.
