How to install door lock cylinder

Need your help folks. I purchased a new lock cylinder for my Chesler T-5 lock. I can’t figure out how to get the security pin to move so I can slide the cylinder in. I’m positive I’m doing something wrong because it does not appear to be seized. Old lock basically fell apart and that was how I got it out. Any help would be appreciated
