Cleaning and polishing with Klasse

Post by Razorback »

I have had a long history of using Klasse car care products. I first found them when I was in San Jose, CA back in 1984. Back then, their quart-size Sealant Glaze was $20... pretty high for those days. A parts store clerk told me they were extremely good products. So, I figured I would give them a chance. GLAD I DID!!!

Now, to today and the Avion. I had held off buying more Klasse simply because it IS rather expensive. But considering all of the time and effort I have spent trying to find a good cleaner and polish for our Avion, I knew it would be money well spent. Worse case: I would use it on our automobiles.

Today I got outside and tried the All-in-One on a small section. As expected, it looks great when finished. I followed that with a coat of the Sealant Glaze.... even better! Now...... just have to get 34’ of trailer done! (That reminds me... I need to get some new pads for my Porter Cable random orbital polisher.... I would love to try that on the Avion!)

I knew the Klasse would look good on the Avion. Now the test will be longevity.

(I will fix the picture orientation later)

What is the consistency of the glaze you have? I have some and it’s a milk like consistency. I’m wondering if I got a bad batch.

It’s supposed to look milky. The key to the Sealant Glaze is: use it sparingly.

When I had first found this Klasse stuff, the Sealant Glaze was a clear liquid and had a distinct petroleum smell. Sometime in the late 80’s it was changed to its current form. They also had an awesome vinyl/leather protectant that smelled awesome and didn’t fog your windows like Armor-All. Not sure if they still have that or not...

Managed to get the front end cap done this evening before I ran out of light. Just the street-side left to do now!

Thank you.

From my previous experience, I’m expecting between 6 months and one year.

How much Klasse did it take to make her look like that?
