73 Travelcader Windows
73 Travelcader Windows
Ok everyone, sorry to bombard the forum with questions, but I’m having trouble locating one particular gasket for my style of windows. First off, can anyone help identify what style my windows are? I know they’re a Hehr style, but I can’t find a number stamped into the frame, and according to the chart in vintagetrailergaskets.com that would mean I would have a standard or before. However, that isn’t an option for my year. Can anyone help with this? They seem pretty common.
The glass appears to be a tempered PPG pane, but it’s apparently original as the year 1972 is stamped as on it.
Thanks to @KYAvion and his helpful ordering information on another thread, I was able to locate the fixed glass glazing, part# 009-344:
Also, on the back side of the awning style windows on the sides, the Y-Gasket part# 009-289 I didn’t get a picture of it, but it has to be it from what I could see.
The one I cannot find is the one on the inside of the trailer that goes between the inner trim piece and the window frame, and the screws on the inside of the trailer pass through it, creating ugly holes. On my windows it looks like this.
The only exception is in the rear bathroom window, which slides open. Instead of this inner seal that is screwed through, there is instead some sort of foam gasket pressed between the trim and the frame. Can anyone help identify this piece, or is replacing it with a foam gasket like what is in the bathroom an option? Thanks!
