New '66 T27 Owner
Just picked mine up this weekend, and towed it 200 miles back home through pouring rain. Pulled like a dream and only leaked at the front window (which I knew about). Now the fun begins. I'll be counting on all of you to help me through the refurb as I have no idea what I am getting myself into. Floor looks good, but a total bathroom remodel will be needed. I don't have a great need to make it authentic...just want it nice and livable. First thing will be new tires, repack the bearings, and getting the breaks working. Other projects will include:
Bathroom remodel
On demand water heater relocation
Propane re-plumbing
Interior repaint and flooring
New AC unit and fans
Should be quite an adventure. Thanks in advance for your support...

Here are a few pix. Due to a busy season in my business I won’t be able to get started on this for a few more months. I’m also thinking I might have someone who knows what they are doing get the plumbing up and running. Hope there is someone local. Could a Camping World service department do this or should I use someone who works on vintage trailers?

Nice Avion!
This is just my opinion...... Unless you have money burning a hole in your pocket, I would not use Camping World. Check your area for RV repair places, get some recommendations from other RV owners, and go from there. Maybe you can find an individual that can do that work (and stand behind the work).

Did a quick search for your area:

Maybe that’s a good place to start.

Thanks RB. I think I’ll try my local shop first. The dog is a crazy coonhound. He loves camping.

I have never been to your part of the country, but looking at the map and aerial shots of the area, that is a beautiful place!!!!
