First winterization of the season
First winterization of the season
Spent some time this afternoon doing the first of at least three winterizations that will be done this season. I looked at our local forecast and saw that we’ll have lows below freezing in the near future, before we take the Avion down the road again. We have two more trips planned before we put it away for the winter.
I used my favorite method of bypassing the water heater, blowing the water lines out with compressed air, draining the hot water tank, and putting a cup or two of RV antifreeze in each trap.

That's my plan too. I really hate the tween seasons as it creates so much more work.

Some time spent setting up the lines to gravity drain really makes winterizing quick and easy between uses. With the exception of the toilet, I’ve just got to open up two ball valves on my 30R to drain everything.
