Need help identifying this pipe / hose in bathroom

Post by pbsled »

Does anyone know where this drain (assuming that is what it is) comes from? Its just forward of the hot water heater on a 30P and goes through the floor and empties aft of the sewer dump. In this pic I have yet to drill the hole to route it back through the floor. Thanks in advance!

Drain tube for you AC condensation?

Airstream has had those for a long time.

I wondered if that was it. I may run the A/C on a humid day and see if it works, but I think my A/C is just draining down the back of the shell. I don't think the roof unit is original and I have remounted and sealed it around the flange but didn't remember any hoses. Thanks for the hint and I will pull the A/C cover some time and see if I can find the other end. It would be great to have this functional and keep water off the sides of the camper.

If there is a double layer of gasket under the AC that would be a good indication. It would certainly be fairly depressed but may be evident via a casual inspection via ladder.

Perhaps it is the drain and it is either:
A) clogged
or
B) not used in the last install

I wish mine had one, I made a rig that simulates the drain system Airstream uses as I live in Texas and the amount of water the AC puts out is astounding...

Same view as OP, but after subfloor and shell attachment complete. Drain tube is routed through outer band, and grounding wires routed inboard of shell. I am using commercial self-stick tiles stuck to each other as the shim to elevate and isolate the aluminum from the treated subfloor.
