newbie avion A25 1968

Post by sueyves1968 »

HI guys my name is Yves Landry i'm working in a press wood shop up in Canada, my passion is restoring old cars and I love vintage stuff of all kind. My father dreamed of a airstream or avion he's now deceased, I want to persued his and now my dream that he passed to me.
Just got a 1968 avion A25 i'm really excited to restore. Pretty much original but a lot of work , floor rotted to the bone and like to change configuration to 2 single bed and I think of updating the axle to leaf spring .

I found the paper of lifetime warranty of Avion ..... does that mean that I can return to Avion for full restoration LOL !!!!

Hi, Yves! Welcome to the forum!

Congratulations on your Avion. It is cool that you can own/fix/use it in memory of your dad. I got my passion from my dad, too. Just befor I left home at 18, he and Mom bought a 1980, maybe 1981 34V after having several other travel trailers, including an Airstream.

Keep us posted on your projects.

How do you plan on using yours?

We too have a '68 A-25. We purchased ours from the original owner, a grain farmer in central Illinois. who always kept it stored inside. As our luck would have it, the Avion stayed unused in that farmer's machine shed for over 43 years, until we purchased it. No rain, no sun. no varmites. We love it.

Hope you enjoy your's as much as we enjoy ours.
