Secret RV Park

Post by RISK »

A friend of mine has a 700 +/- acre ranch west of Austin in Blanco. He recently built a 4 pad rv Park. I’ve been here for a few days by myself and am really digging it.

That is really cool! If I had some land, I would definitely do just that. Would construct some storage units, too.

Is that really a secret place? Or, how does he plan on filling those sites?

My friend initially built it at the request of a couple guys who come out to hunt on a lease. They gave him a pretty nice sum to get it going so they could bring their campers when they came to hunt. Of course I got involved and helped clear a bunch of the land (a favorite pastime of mine is clearing cedar in a Cat with hydrolic shears) and help design the layout.

Ultimately he’ll have 6 sites with one dedicated to his retired 5th wheel. I’ve been encouraging him to make it snazzy and cater to small groups of campers.

The ranch is about 6 miles west of Blanco right on the river. This section is probably 15-20 acres and is adjacent to a small spring fed pond with great fishing. I can hear the waterfall across the hay field and the night creatures doing their thing...

Sounds like a place I'd want to visit. I'll keep it in mind.
