Update: Subfloor patched and reinforced, walls painted, tires ordered, solar system ordered, currently installing the vinyl composite tile floor. Progress has been slow. Winter just sucks all the hustle out of me.

Also realized that the reason I couldn't find the water pump was because it has been removed. Ordered a shurflo and accumulator tank. Not entirely sure how to properly install the new one. Does anyone have an avion plumbing diagram, if such a thing ever existed?

The pump is pretty straightforward. There will be an input and output for the water. The input is fed via the the line coming from the bottom of the water tank, and the output goes to your accumulator or directly to the rest of your plumbing lines. I like to install shut offs before and after the pump as well so I can isolate the pump when on city water supply if needed. This also allows for a TEE and another shut off to be installed for running antifreeze through the pump and water lines if desired.

Also check the manual for the appropriate fuse size to install inline in the 12v.

I have the 1978 & 1979 manuals for Avions, they both have fairly complete plumbing diagrams and shouldn’t (maybe) differ too much from what yours should look like. I’ll post some pdf’s of those diagrams. Great progress on your coach by the way.

Here is what I found for the “V” model. It’s from the ‘79 manual.
I also have a pdf of all pages from both manuals in regards to plumbing that I can send to whomever. KYAvion, you want them for the archives?

Dilly-
I re-plumbed our '88 30-P this year as part of our restoration effort. The re-plumb included PEX supply lines, on-demand water heater, new water heater, accumulator, etc. Below are some pics of the finished product. Note the white inlet and outlet hoses are looped to suppress any noise from the pump.

Thanks for the replies, everyone. You guys have some clean looking plumbing. It has been a while since I gave you an update, sorry about that!

Got the pump installed, pretty easy stuff once I made sense of the hacked up plumbing; the PO had cut and re-run some stuff to just run on city water. We had a nice warm day and I put some water in the holding tank to test the system. To my relief and surprise, the fresh and grey water tanks hold water(at least a little bit):D Two problems though:

1- hot water heater was full of water and is now exploded. shame on the PO and dealer for not draining, shame on me for not checking before winter hit. Should I be worried about the water that is now in my lines and tank freezing?

2- I'm getting a lot of voltage drop when the pump is running, down to 4-6 volts. This is causing the pressure switch in the pump to not turn off the pump even though there does not appear to be any leaks in the system. The water pressure is also very weak. Another thing that has been bothering me is the voltage in general, I'm only seeing 10-11 volts everywhere I check. Could the transformer in the breaker box be bad?

Yes, blow the water out or pump antifreeze through your lines as soon as possible. Also open any low point drains. Be sure to drain your fresh and grey water too.

As far as your voltage, there isn’t a transformer. Your converter converts 110v to 12v when plugged into shore power. When not plugged in, your’re running off your batteries. Which is the case for you?

BTW, would you mind creating separate threads for this and other stuff that pops up? It helps to keep stuff organized, as well as gives people researching stuff in a specific forum more info.

I did crack open the water lines in various places and run the pump and lines dry before it froze. I'll pick up some rv anifreeze today. I guess I'm a bit of a newb and didn't know such a thing existed.

I from here on out, I will post in the appropriate topic. I'm used to the whole "build thread" thing, but I can see how it is much more helpful to post separate threads.
