I'll give it a go. Just downloaded an app to do annotation yesterday.

Sorry for the delay

Anyway, I snipped the hot, neutral, and ground wires from the old converter and removed it. I attached those three wires to a female 3 way plug and I use that for power to the new converter. There are two leads from the new converter and both are highlighted in the picture. I did NOT remove the two that were originally attached to the fuse bar. I simply squeezed the new wires into the terminals that were used before.

I don't think the old wires are necessary but wanted to check before undoing something that works. Adding the 2 wires to the terminals that were already occupied was a pain and it is a bit messy. Should I leave it as is or pretty it up and remove the old wires?

Ok. Where do those two wires terminate on the other end?

Got rain here today so I'll have plenty of time check it. I see another opportunity for a photo annotation.

Gary,

What power converter did you have before? Did it have two power wires? One for charging and one for 12v?

Thank you,

Tim

I don't remember the model # but it was a Progressive. When I made the change, I didn't know diddly about it. Except for the wires that attached to the fuse bar, it was hardwired. I cut the converter guts out and rewired those to a socket so I could use it for the 120v power. That make sense?
