Lynne is just finishing up completely redoing our sofa in our 1984 30R.

If you want to do it yourself, it's not a hard job. Just use care in the process.

We would/could help you with advise along the way it you DIY.

Best regards,

I am in North Central Ohio.

Lynne is a skilled sewer who has a sewing machine (actually two machines). This was her first sofa but was much easier than she expected. We moved the sofa from the front to the street side of the 30R. So we have had the sofa completely apart several times and have removed it twice from the trailer. It is a very doable project if someone has the ability to sew cloth.

Pics? I’d be interested in seeing the upholestry, as well as seeing how the couch looks in its new position. What made you all decide to relocate it?

I will take some pictures in a day or two.

We moved the sofa for a couple of reasons. Lynne built a nice four door cabinet under the window to the right of the door. I built a 12 volt linear actuator powered tv lift to go in the cabinet. We can sit on the sola and watch tv, if we want. Most of the time the tv will be hidden in the down position in the cabinet. The cabinet will have a top of stained character grade red oak which matches the new shelf across the Avions front.

I am working today on installing a mini-split air conditioner indoor unit directly over where the sofa was. We will have air conditioning and heat with no noise.

Best regards,

Russ

We are having our interior dinette cushions and bed set reupholstered in our 34V. 10 pieces for $1,400, including materials and labor. Will send photos afterwards. You could probably shop it more but this was a nearby and reputable place.

I’m in Oregon so you won’t want to use my lady. But she only charged $575 (plus the fabric). I actually found her when I was upolstery material shopping. I asked around at local shops that sold that type of material and they had the names of lots of people who did small jobs. The lady I went with actually does it as a side business one job at a time. Might try those types of fabric stores and ask around.
