1971 Voyageur photos

Post by Mike »

I’ve seen quite a few really nice Avion here, so I thought I’d drop a couple pictures of ours. It’s not perfect, but it is perfect for us.

That looks really nice, Mike! I think it is great that you keep it in good shape and ready for adventure!

I'm sure it'll never happen, but if I was to get another Avion, that particular early 70's style is what it would be!

Did you do the work on yours?

We actually purchased it a couple months back. It was in really good shape when we bought it. It pulled exceptionally well. I’ve been going over everything since we got it. The heater works great. Have had a bunch of rain in Fort Wayne this Spring and have no leaks! Filled the fresh water tank Saturday and installed a new pump. That system is perfect. Stove, radio, lights, water heater, shower, toilet, and fridge all work just fine.
Right now the only issue is once the toilet tank gets mostly full there is a leak underneath. Half full is fine. Above that is an issue. I’ll be removing some aluminum soon, I’m afraid.
We got very lucky with this, in my opinion.
BTW, this site is great,
Thanks
