A&E Awnings, old style

My project, 1978 34W Avion. I just happen to have these older A & E Awnings. I don't have a parts manual, and appears that Dometic now owns A & E. I am looking for parts, such as roll tube springs, and end caps. Maybe some of the later model hardware will fit? Or will I have to just replace with a new assembly. I am wanting to replace the awning fabric, but before I do that, I want to know where I can find the plastic end caps and springs inside the roller on my existing awnings. I am trying to avoid just replacing the entire units. If I do replace the entire units, which is the better complete awning units I should be looking at. I guess they all are made with more plastics brackets and parts now too?
