Rejex vs Penetrol

Post by KYAvion »

I read on the Yahoo site about using Rejex, so I thought I'd give it a try. Visually, I could tell no difference. By feel, the area where I applied Rejex felt smoother, but that was the only effect I noticed.

I also tried Penetrol per Nralifer's recommendation, and the stuff immediately gives the skin a nice shine and gives a wet look. It's cheap too and readily available at Lowes. Not sure how long it will last, but it sure goes on easy and makes the skin look good.

Hey Kyavion,

How did the penetrol hold up in the long run?
I saw another thread with you and Nralifer about the truck box polish, is that any better?

Thanks,
Ian

When I used the Penetrol, it seemed to last most of a year.

I haven't applied much of the Penetrol yet, but I just purchased a bunch and am going to do the entire trailer one evening next week. With the little that I have used, I have found that it's super easy to apply.

Question: How do you apply the penetrol? Is it like WD-40? (I used a soft cloth to apply WD-40). Thx

I think it's the karate kid method: wipe on! wipe off!

Have you ever used Corrosion X in place of WD-40? It's pretty freaking amazing.

I used one rag to apply, and an old hand or bath towel to remove. It probably goes without saying, but give the trailer a good bath first.
