Rock guard

Post by Markinalaska »

Anyone have a source for a rock guard that fits a 1981 34v? I am in search of many parts including covers for the storage areas and some lower ones as well, even a new step cover/ system. I really want to get the old girl back to her formal glory. I'm impressed by the build quality of this trailer and want to make it right again. I have a ton of work and questions so bear with me as I go through the process. I will be taking pictures of progress and all and will share as I make changes.

It's possible to make them. There is a product referred to as bending ply, not available at the big boxes. I used it to make shields for the curved windows on my airstream.took a bit of ingenuity to laminate them in place (3 layers of 3mm). Finished them off with a layer of very light fiberglass cloth.

That would be great.

If they look awesome and if it makes sense to do so, maybe that would be a good sideline business..... so many folks are looking for guards, it seems.

I like that a lot! Would love to hear/see more of how you made that.

(I hope you don't mind... I put on my moderator hat and rotated that picture....)
