Replacing tub drain flange in a 1988 34X

Post by TerraTramps »

Howdy folks...

Had some leakage around the drain flange in our tub that was getting down underneath. Took off the decorative board covering the front of the tub and got to work. Took ordering a couple special tools, but they got the job done. It sure would've been nice if the tub drain was at the front of the tub, and not the back!

Not the most glamorous topic in the world, but maybe it'll be useful for anyone facing a similar problem. Please feel free to offer criticism/advice. We're just DIY-ers, so any knowledge shared with us is always appreciated!

Hey Dave, how did you know it was your drain flange and not something else? Also what needs to be done in order to gain access to the tub like in your video?
