68 Avion storm window clips.

Post by Sawmiller »

All of my windows have small rotateable clips on the interior. Assuming they were for holding a storm window of some type. Maybe thin lexan. Anyone else have these?

Is that a window or your screen door? I don't have those on mine, but it looks like a great idea. I'd like to cut plexiglass or lexan to make storm windows for mine, and those clips look like a simple way to hold them in place.

A google search for rv storm window clips brings up plastic pieces that look just like yours, and the description says for storm windows or screens. I saw some metal ones too, but the design is such that the handle of the clip sticks out further.

I have a good selection of plastic and metal clips like that. Found mine at Lowe’s, some were on a closeout rack for 5 cents for a box of maybe 20? They were stocked in the area where storm door parts are kept. They make flush-mount clips and those that would stand out maybe 1/8”- 1/4” or so. Metal or plastic.

They come in handy every once in awhile. I would like to fashion some storm windows for the Avion for the colder weather..... on my list of things to do “someday”.
