Is it just me......?????

Is it just me, or are Avion prices going up?

Not too long ago, you'd see plenty of Avions for sale for $5K-$10K, with the really nice ones being in the $10K range.

Seems like asking prices are going up....... are the selling prices?

We stole our 1987 Avion for $4000... made a great deal but had to travel 1000 miles for it. With the work and TLC I have put into it, there's no way I'd let it go for $10K, likely more than that, and someone would be getting a really nice, trouble-free Avion.

Based on what you paid, I may have paid way too much for my 30R. However, from what I saw when I was looking, I didn't think the price was bad and I hadn't seen too many 30R's pop up.

Ours was unusually low-priced. The PO had been trying to sell it, but folks around his area were looking for lighter trailers that they could tow with a 1/2-ton. We jumped on the deal and made the trip. Four years ago this October.

We paid $3k in north Florida for our 68' 26 footer, it was basically gutted with no tanks or plumbing and the 12v system wasnt functioning. We will have right around $10k in renovations but everything except the frame and outer skin will be brand new, I hope to have it appraised in the $14k-15k area for insurance purposes but I have no idea about the actual sale value. I do agree that the prices seem to be rising because we looked for a couple of years at both Avion and Airstream units and it seems that either brand will cost $8-10k for something that is camp ready and nearly original and anything that has been modernized goes up from there.

I thought I would resurrect this thread......

Seems like people are asking more for their Avions that they have for sale.

I wonder what actual sale prices are doing?

While I'm not certain about the trend in Avion TT prices, I have noticed that the 5th wheels aren't too pricey

You are right..... My favorites are the 1991? through 1996? tan/brown ones..... that was a style that doesn’t show its age, and I have seen some immaculate ones in the $10K range.

That is definitely the nicest N-model I have ever seen. The few that have come up for sale have been really trashed.

I really like the 5th-wheel models of that color scheme.

Bought my '77 Travelcader 26 for 6000 in Dec. it was sitting under an oak tree for 18 mos.
still cleaning. Everything worked. The floor had more rot then estimated, the plumbing looked good the PO was a plumber, but won't test until next week. Tires were VG, no spare.
I thought the price was ok as I had already travelled extensively looking at similar trailers at the same price or more.
So far I've invested about 900, brakes, mattress, converter etc and untold hours cleaning and what not. Just started cleaning and polishing the exterior and she is really starting to look worth the effort.
