Red Rock Canyon State Park, Hinton, OK

Post by Razorback »

Our next trip will be to Red Rock Canyon Park near Hinton, OK.

Meeting some friends there that live in OKC. Same friends that visit our local Beaver Lake almost every summer in June. We always have a great time with them!

Made it to the park yesterday. Fought a strong north crosswind most of the way here, but we made it.

Cool park with a neat history.

This is a nice park in close proximity to I-40, about 1 hour west of Oklahoma City, 4 or 5 miles south of I-40.

This little Corgie was next door to us this morning. While I was cooking some turkey breakfast sausage I had the exhaust vent on. The little dog smelled the good smell and came over to the trailer. Sat there with his snout in the air getting a good whiff. Very cute.

Here's what they do off of those sandstone walls in one particular area:

Looks really neat there, I'll have to remember it for our northern travels.
We went to Leisure RV resort in Fentress, TX along the San Marcos river this past weekend. Really a nice campground with huge trees and lots of nice amenities. Just :45 min from Austin.

Made it back home this evening. What a nice day for a drive back to NW Arkansas! Clear, cool, and 46 degrees here this evening..... Absolutely beautiful!

Got the Avion parked and unloaded. Need to give it a good bath and detail before our next trip... currently set for the first part of December. (Maybe I can talk wife into going somewhere with the trailer before then!!)
