Re: Dynamic wheel balancers
I’ll have to give a set a try someday. Right now my tires age our before they wear out, but I suppose the balancers could only improve the ride quality. That said, my 30R has a MorRyde suspension and there doesn’t seem to be much jostling around, but I imagine every bit helps. PewterPalace87 when yo...

Re: 1959 R23 complete gut job - help & advice
One thought would be to use POR15 on the frame. I’ve not used the product myself, but I’ve read other people have been happy with. Since you’ve got things taken apart and the frame is accessible, this may be worth looking into. I’ve got an 84 30R, and the floor is two thin pieces of plywood with (if...

That’s definitely a big job. What material are you using for the subfloor? Before that, do you plan coat the frame with anything?

Re: Fuse Block Upgrade
Unless something is wrong, those glass fuses shouldn’t be blowing. Also, unless you’re just wanting to upgrade, it’d probably be easiest to purchase several backup glass fuses to keep on hand in case you need them. Then when you’re ready, do the upgrade. I did this with my trailer, but went with aut...

Re: Plumbing schematic
Without knowing more specifics about your trailer, it’d be tough to provide a schematic. However, if you’ve got a fresh water tank it wouldn’t be hard to make it work with a water pump. The water pump pulls water from the tank and pumps the water into a cold plumbing line. As far as a 12v valve, usu...

Great model! We’ve got a 30R as well.
Your trip to St George Island sounds fun. We use to go there quite a bit many years ago (before the Avion).

Re: Polishing
Let’s wait for @Razorback to chime in on the Owatrol. But yes, if the trailer is dirty, you’d want to wash and dry the surface first.

Re: Polishing
I believe Owatrol is the same as Penetrol. I’ve used it in the past and it did leave the surface appearing better. At some point I think I’m going to try what this guy did here: https://www.facebook.com/jim.vititow/videos/338343088208969/?idorvanity=139074012781324 He had good success with a Porter ...
