Get a piece of 1/8" scrap plexiglass from a glazer or wherever.
Easy to cut and fit. Comes in different colors too.

Not sure if I'm correct but I installed both blue and red to the positive terminal.
All is well on board since installing.

There a many different grades and manufacturers of PW. Most that I've seen in big box stores is low to mid grade. There are 2 bldg supply stores near me, about 5 miles apart. Had to install another switch for the radio. These wires run into the interior skin to I don't where. There is a similar switch just inside the door, it turns on the light in the folding step compartment. That was a nice discovery. Every thing on the Avion is just so much better then the AS. Too bad...
