Re: Bellypan question
Well stated, Salty. I went with galvanized mainly because I couldn't get aluminum without sacrificing my first-born. ;) . Odd that I lived in the Motor City but couldn't get it reasonably. I remember having to strategically re-arrange the wood ramps & piers and jack stands to remove the belly pa...

Re: Bellypan question
Thank you both Jason/Silverloaf, It seems the tank uninstall/re-install is its own major subtask. I've been avoiding the bellypan as I don't want my Avion to be offline due to repairs (I want to be able to use it). One thought is to hire a contractor to help me (this shortens the duration of the pr...

Re: Bellypan question
Rostam- I raised our trailer gradually until I got the frame roughly 12"-14" off the ground. I also targeted getting the tires off the ground about 1". This enabled me to remove them, work on the suspension & brakes and re-install them without a big hassle. Of course, you trailer ...

Re: What is this?
Based upon your recent pic, I believe it is a gas or air purge valve. Perhaps it was used to evacuate air in the line when the main gas valve is opened/closed after factory testing, or maybe after replacing a water heater. Could it be a 34V exclusive because of it length? Our 30P certainly doesn't h...

Re: Avion 30P Underbelly Aluminum sheet
First of all, if your trailer is like most, the gas line is usually made from copper. It is non-ferrous and will not create sparks if dragged on the ground. I would agree that Avion could have done a better job of securing the gas line under the belly pan. It is one of many modifications I made whil...

Re: What is this?
Can you show a larger picture? Can you determine whether they are water or gas? If water, perhaps the the valve is cold water “in” and the other is hot “out”?

Re: 12 volt compressor refrigerators
Nova Cool 9000dc looks like a very nice fridge. I did an on-line search and found it is available as AC/DC as well as DC only.

Re: Avion 30P Underbelly Aluminum sheet
The Bolts of the underbelly of my Avion have all rusted and the whole sheet from the middle to the back bumper has almost completely detached. How can I GLUE it or attach it some other method? The sheet i svery deteriorated but still works. I cannot afford to have it redone... I want to do an easy ...

Re: 1961 T-27 tandem Axle spring size
Our ‘88 30P has 4-leaf springs. It is tandem axle. It weighs roughly 6000# dry. I recall replacing one while I had the suspension apart. I vaguely remember the spec was 25-1/4”. It was located on the curb side measured 25–3/4”. I decided to replace it because curb side takes the brunt of pot holes, ...

Re: 1961 T-27 tandem Axle spring size
Anyone know where I might find a leaf spring to replace the broken one on my 1961 T-27 tandem Axle? Camping trip coming soon...😕 Looks like six leaves and Eye to Eye length: 25-1/4". Do Avions have 3,500 lb axles? I found some five leaf ones that are rated at 3,500 lbs. Wish there were parts l...
