Re: Water heater wiring diagram

I went through the same crap-ola as you did with Dometic. I learned that, some time ago, they chose to drop tech support for retail customers. Instead, they only want to deal with aftermarket dealers or RV manufacturers. After my last encounter with them, I swore never to put another Dometic product...

Re: Plumbing Re-Do

Interesting on using a rotary file tree bit. Have you used it successfully on thin gauge metal?

Re: Plumbing Re-Do

A drill bit leaves a real ugly and jagged hole; hence, the reason I used the punch. Are you able to pull down the belly pan just enough to give yourself hand clearance for the tool and threading the drain line?

I wanted a nice, tight interface to keep critters like ants from getting in.

Re: Water heater wiring diagram

Rostam- Attached are the wire connections for my water heater. It is an Atwood on-demand unit. The wiring nearest to my hand come from the heater. The others go to either the control panel (blue and red) or ground (white). In our trailer, all 12v positive interior wires are blue. Ground wires are ei...

Re: Rear hitch for bike rack?

I did not buy it. I had too much other work to do to get the trailer functional and road-worthy.

Look up bike racks on the eTrailer and see if you can find it. Call their tech support to see if they can answer your question. Better yet, call tech support at the rack manufacturer.

Re: Rear hitch for bike rack?

I looked at a bike rack for our 30P about 3 years ago. I think I found it on eTrailer. It was a 3" square tubular design with mounting plates on each end. The plates were bolted to the inside of the trailer's frame extensions just in front of the bumper. The receiver was welded to the bottom of...

Re: Plumbing Re-Do

We have a 30P. It has a rear bathroom and a large service compartment behind it for storing the spare tire. I installed tees and 1/4 turn drain valves where the water lines merge behind the vanity. I drilled two holes in the floor, as well as the belly pan, and threaded 1/2" clear tubing though...

Re: Reverse battery polarity. Help!

If everything is working but the indicator light , that should easy to diagnose and replace. I wasn’t aware the converter charges the battery. In our case, I don’t know how the power from the converter can bridge the kill switch. I like the security of the kill switch when hooked up to shore power w...

Re: Reverse battery polarity. Help!

Rostam- If you get both 120V and 12V through the converter on shore power, you may have dodged a bullet. Our trailer has a kill switch on our command center. It separates the 12V from the converter (when on shore power) and the 12v from the battery. Does your trailer have one? If you have one, disco...

Re: 12 volt DC negative

We have an '88 30P. The converter and fuse panel are in the left rear corner, below the closet in the bathroom. The 12V negative terminal block is located in a cavity under the trailer at the front. There is an access panel just below the battery tray. The wiring harness from the tow vehicle runs in...
